Mary finished her post-graduate work at the University of Virginia in Applied Physiology/Sports Medicine and then worked several years in corporate fitness, cardiac rehabilitation, athletic training and exercise rehabilitation before returning to school to study physical therapy. She has a passion for all things triathlon-related, including training, competing and coaching. Her physical therapy experience includes acute care, sports medicine and orthopedic rehabilitation, acute rehabilitation and transitional care. For the past 17 years she has worked exclusively in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine setting. Mary has gained a personal understanding of rehabilitation from the patient's perspective following brain surgery for removal of a benign tumor. She can appreciate the patience and persistence it takes to overcome obstacles and achieve goals.

Associations:

In her spare time Barbara enjoys workouts in the CrossFit gym and loves competing in the sport. Barbara and her husband have four children and she loves to be involved in each of their hobbies. Prior to having children and starting CrossFit Barbara trained year round for 10k's and half marathons and has also competed in the sport of triathlon. In 2012, Barbara had a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction as a preventative measure due to significant family history of breast cancer. She also enjoys raising money for and supporting various breast cancer foundations.

Lisa is an avid runner and has competed in several marathons. In her spare time she loves watching her two kids play sports. Being a graduate of the University of Georgia, Lisa is a huge UGA fan and loves hanging out with her family watching games on Saturdays.

Kelly loves all things adventure, travel, food, cultures, and experiences. Kelly is an avid runner and cyclist and says she tolerates swimming since she loves to compete in triathlons. She has completed four half-ironman races. She also enjoys Crossfit, yoga, hiking, and any outdoor activities. Kelly says she and her husband thrive on bringing their three kids along on all sorts of adventures as well as cheering on their own hobbies. Kelly started her career in Spinal Cord injury therapy at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, and has now returned to work in outpatient orthopedics.

Patrick was drawn to a career in physical rehabilitation after 20 years in the corporate environment because of his desire to help others recover from injury and to incorporate his personal interest in health, fitness and wellness into his professional work. Patrick completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Georgia State University in 2015. He is also a Georgia licensed massage therapist having completed Cortiva Institute - Boston's 900 hour muscular therapy program in 2006. He strives to use an evidenced based approach to rehabilitative therapy with a strong emphasis on manual therapy and therapeutic exercise to help his patients achieve their goals. In his spare time Patrick enjoys spending active time outdoors, working out at the gym, watching football and tennis, and spending time socializing with friends.
